Yes. But few want to spend 4 hours taking them out, looking at them and guessing how many miles until they fail, spending 4 hours putting them back in, waiting until just before the guessed failure...

They work better than bad actuators. I have a rebuilt one. Good alternative to a new one. I have a new one as well. The rebuilt one cost a lot less and works just as well.

At least with the S65 bearings, Lang uses a different combination of upper/lower shells for than ACL’s standard package to obtain the clearance Lang wants. Could be something like that for the S54.

ACL has a great reputation. Maybe the other companies are grossly overcharging for bearings. If you have a BMW, it does not mean you must help suppliers make big profits on parts.
