Re: My m3 seems to get better and better every year, am I crazy?

The e39 M5 is absolutely a driving experience compromise vs the M3. But, so is the e90 M3.

Different e46 M3s for different purposes. My wife is pregnant, so the M3 wagon might actually end up...

Re: My m3 seems to get better and better every year, am I crazy?

Yeah, but they feel completely unrelated. HPS vs EPS, mechanical diff vs computer diff, and the S65 define the driving experience of the F8X... and couldn't be more different than the S55.

I still have it, and am still quite pleased with it. Drives like stock, goes like stink.

I did have them dyno tune my car, so don't know how meaningful my feedback is to their canned tune.

Camber plates Iím running are $500. Came with the bearing iirc. Machines the spacers for myself, so idk what youíll get charged. Springs were ~$80 each, I think?

Iím going to start out with the shins. If itís too much, Iíll take them outó itís a quick job. Iíd like to have less pressure in the lines, if the weight doesnít annoy me.

The next M3 will almost certainly be a better version of the same concept as the F8X. BMW seems to be making much better cars now than they were 7-10 years ago (they're still not making anything I...

Re: J-Fiber E46 M3 CF Driveshaft Review

I'm not sure that logic follows.

As in, my intuition says it takes a certain (absolute) amount to spin up a given weight a given speed. So while a light weight flywheel might give 2% less drive...

Re: J-Fiber E46 M3 CF Driveshaft Review

A lightweight flywheel doesn't increase horsepower, but it should increase wheel horsepower. It decreases rotational inertia, allowing more of the power to make it to the wheels.

Re: The car that broke the rules - PTG M3 before the M3 GTR

That agrees with BMW.

Which also means the s65 splits the weight difference, which makes sense from a 3 liter, 4 liter, and 5 liter.

Re: Hagerty: The E39 M5 was peak BMW, so grab it while you can

Ha. On the e36 it happens with a completely stock car. On the e46 you need a wonky suspension setup (soft spring stiff sways) or poorly designed aftermarket parts (shock towers).
