Re: 2002 BMW M3 - Laguna Seca Blue/Black - 6MT - 108k Miles - Phoenix

3 years ago a lot of these did sell for that. Now is not 3 years ago.
This is not 6MT markup, its called appreciation and increase in market value.
It likely not going to sell for $29K, but this is...

Tamiya X/XF are acrylics - they are water-soluble paints, and can reduced with water and wiped off with alcohol, or just well, water. But I guess sharpie is easier.

Re: ACL Rod Bearing review

Technically, bearings do not need "breaking in" since they not supposed to come in contact with anything.

Go with OEM. with proper oil/oil pressure, S54 doesn't have a clearance problem.

Meanwhile, I have been working on my...

Re: E36 M3 4-Door: Contracheatcode Build Journal

Yup. Mine disconnected somehow on my M shoe and stayed like that for who knows how long - it has been venting right into my positive cable where the pyrotechnics for battery cable release are - and...

Re: Dilemma

I don't know man, define "prepared properly'. Dakar II is "deeper" by definition of being 2-stage, clearcoated color to begin with.

Enamels do shine a bit better when new, but they oxidize like...

Re: On e46 M3 values: is the secret already out?

A lot of SMG so-called clunkiness comes from DSC intervention, and improper throttle inputs and worng shift timing. I'm a very good manual box driver, drove only manuals for 15+ years, and was...

Re: Squeaky belt/pulley/tensioner - help diagnose

I honestly don't want to mess with coolant or any fluid for that matter if I can avoid that. I absolutely hate coolant smell, and the mess it leaves behind.

Re: Pricing my E36 M3 sedan? 98

I don't know man, you know how hot it gets inside the car in Texas, or Arizona, when its 120F? Probably close to 200F? Or repeatedly gets over 100F for like 3 months in a row? For several years....
