Re: Popped Spot Weld

That looks like a tear. You need to strip the soundproofing all around it to see how far the problem goes (including hairlines).

Re: Vehicle history lookup

Walk into the dealer with a chilled 6-pack of something good in a paper bag - and ask the Service Manager.

Re: Red Oil Light, help needed

You wrote all of that and never once said anything about checking your oil level. Odd.

Re: Lowest mileage m3 in the world?

There are probably 2-300 barely driven M3s rotting away slowly in garages.

Re: Differential cooling

Is there a well-defined diff temp that the car should not be driven at?

I generally don't start solving a problem - until it is a problem by some credible definition.

Re: Differential cooling

What problem are you solving? In all my track years - I haven't come across an E46 M3 with a diff heat problem.

Re: Removng the clutch fan does not work for the track

Switch to 100% distilled water + WW and see where your temps go.

Re: New E46 OWNER

I know that I'm used to seeing small (non-stock) wheel gaps - but aren't those a bit taller than stock?

Re: Test Drove an M2 Today...

I saw a guy do a full sideswipe of the M2 passenger side on the tire wall at the track last weekend. The after-effect doesn't look like the metal is any thicker. It was a pretty new car too.

Re: Red battery light flickering when driving under track conditions?

You mentioned everything except checking your battery connections - given that it happened under braking and cornering.

Re: BW Street / Track with Supercharger

I would think that heat soak will be your greater issue on the track.
