Re: Aftermarket Seats

What is it that you're trying to accomplish?

The recaro street seats have been put in a lot of M3's so that's what I'd look at as far as install methods. Sparco slides are FIA rated and that's...

Re: Why did they do this

Can we stop with the long pictures or over-and-over pictures? I am trying to get some LOLz reading the OP's responses to the haters about his POS car. And you guys are making that difficult.

Re: Oil pan bolt stripped

Get an easy out or just try a set of channel locks. This isn't a hard problem to solve. I agree with doing an oil change from above, but fix the darn bolt, it's not hard.

Give the guys at Bimmerworld a call. They carry the GC and TC Kline kits and they are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I think the TCK setup will be a little less expensive, but neither as as...

Some reviews/comments here including some track feedback: http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=382834

Personally I'd stick with a known quantity like the TCK SA coils.

Re: Carbon Fiber Roof Install Time Lapse

Nice work and a very cool time lapse.

But just as a note to others who are thinking of doing this; it's best to fit a brace in advance of removing the existing roof. The roof is the top of...

Re: What y'all think of my Turbo M3 ? Too much ?

Lots of money spent on this car...just goes to show that money can't buy taste or class. This car is a total disaster.

Also, this thread is a total repost.

Re: What say ye? Brakes ready to go?

I'd skip the drilled and go for blanks. Drilled rotor just don't last and really are more show than go. Perhaps for autocross you'll be alright, but I'm not a fan of drilled rotors for track duty if...

Re: What say ye? Brakes ready to go?

There are two reasons to scrap a rotor:
1. cracks to the edge
2. cracks that connect to each other or between two holes

#2 drastically raises kt factor and will lead to a zipper type failure....

Re: Help choosing the right harness for street/track use

Those harness bars are very questionable to me and I wouldn't run it. THere's no rollover protection at all. For me safety systems are just that, systems. It's gotta be all or nothing...the half...

Re: Help choosing the right harness for street/track use

So the "bar" is really a 4 point (ie half) cage? Those are ok for street/track cars, but the bars I am not a fan of.

I agree I'd skip the 4 points. I know the 5 and 6 points aren't street legal,...

Re: N54 Engine Swap?

You'd be better off just getting a 135 or 335 and tossing a diff and some suspension parts on it.

But really, the S54 is way more special than the N54...the N54 is just a run of the mill turbo...

Re: Looking for a First Tow Vehicle - Input please

I'd suggest looking at the 2015 F150 w/ 2.7L ecoboost v6. It gets decent gas mileage and with the max tow package can haul 8600 pounds, which I found pretty impressive. But what I liked most was the...

HJC Si-12. It's a decent helmet for the price. But I think I'll end up getting a new one when the SA15 helmets roll out. Either an Arai or Stilo.
