You should bleed the ABS since you drove the car with air in the system. Then see if the pedal is still spongy.

This is why you shouldnít drive on a partially bled system.

If you get the TCKs and use their rear springs, just use 2 small aerosol can caps from WD40 and bolt them into the upper mount. That will keep the spring from falling out when you jack up the rear.

It varies so much. I used to keep 6 on hand and replace all when one goes bad.

Now I get them from autozone with a 1 year warranty and return them once a year. You have to ask for a 330ci coil.

If track use is not in the picture then Iíd go with TCK singles.

One advantage with TCK is you can call them and get excellent advice which has been tested in street environments. I had a chat...

I have topside reinforcements and a bolt through. I drilled out the bolt holes for a 1/2Ē grade 8 bolt and grade 8 lock nut torqued to 130 ft/lbs.

I had to enlarge the holes in the aluminum...

Shouldnít be an issue unless theyíve seen excessive heat. Signs would be brake fluid boiling or crispy dust boots.

Or if some ape used a screw driver to compress the piston to replace the pads.

I used a 1lb lithium battery from Advanced Auto (LPF4). It starts the car unless itís below 40. You have to disconnect it when the car is sitting and not being driven daily. It cost $100.

Remove the top and bottom nuts, use an engine bar to raise the motor and then remove the mounts.

Might be able to use a jack on the oil pan...I wouldnít. Itís cheap cast aluminum which is not very...

Digital angle torque wrench and reads in degrees, ft/lbs and Nm. A snap on dealer checked it and it is consistent with my recently calibrated torque wrench at 100ft/lbs and my 80ft/lb torque stick.

I think the E32 had 210 LSDs, not the E38s.

Forget if itís the E28 or E34 but some 535s has a 210mm LSD as an option but itís very rare.

Not all 850s had an LSD.

I think if you have a 10mm ratcheting flex head wrench then it comes off easy. Just need to slide a 1Ē cheater bar or tube over it.

Or a 10mm box end that is angled works...just takes a lot...

You NEED the ring gear and pinion gear and crush sleeve.

You should replace the ring gear bolts since theyíre torque to yield. Youíll probably ruin the shaft seals, 2 side and 1 front seal.

I think a 3.85 is the best choice. You can significantly change the final gearing with tire size. No need to commit to a 4.10 all of the time.

E36 vs E46 ZF

Both donít have the same detent spring issue but Iíd change the springs anyway.

The guide tubes are different for different platforms so you need to make sure you get the throw out bearing...

IMO, depends. For max power then yes. For reliability and service life I think the Megan headers might be better. The flanges and pipe are really thick and heavy which should avoid cracking and...

What Iíve found is the OE brakes are on/off but require less brake pedal travel to get to full pressure.

At least with my stoptechs, the pedal isnít nearly as hard at the top but feels much more...

I've been eyeing the jiffy tite connectors, not sure if I need to worry about things like pressure drop.

Iíve never seen an on-site tech at a DE.

I do my own which is beyond what any org has required that Iíve run with. And I keep a logbook.

I just remove the part and take it to my local maker space. Step on a pedal and the 75 ton press handles the rest.

Itís worth the extra work and you reduce the risk of damaging the new part.

I would imagine it would be significant because the RTAB pretty much controls the movement of the entire rear suspension through its travel. More precision means less slop.

Yeah, there is a drop off. I think they are still better than NT01s at this point but I havenít driven on NT01s with the car in its current form.
