I've seen comments on this in a few spots...

Awesome stuff here, must've missed it the first time around. Just what I was planning to do down the road (no fogs track car), looks even better than I'd hoped. Can't wait to see it all finished...

What did you do to/for your ///M today?

Iím running a LeatherZ kit, comes with gauges, gauge panel, amber bulbs and coolant/oil sensor. You could easily make your own too, 3D printed or just cut out the old fashioned way. Gauges are VDO

Re: Anyone go from an E46 M3 to a 996?

Absolutely, Cayman is the 'real' Porsche, the purist's car, better than the 911 in every way. Buy one so that I can pick up my 997 for cheap :D

That's fair, though I imagine there's more to go wrong on a neglected 996 TT vs a neglected base 996

Re: Anyone go from an E46 M3 to a 996?

Oh yeah, 996 Turbo isn't the reliable german workhorse people like to think it is. Maybe if you put a lot into it preventatively it's 'reliable', but I'd stick with NA

Word, though I'm not familiar with the LSDs. I'm not too interested in a base model 996. Turbo is cool, GT3 is cool, otherwise 997. I'm scoping out 997.1 C2S cars for myself :shifty:

Re: M-track Retrofit: Success

Okay no worries.

I guess my car is likely a MK60, MSS54 (non-HP) car then. It seems like they changed the MK units at a different time vs the dme then. Bummer

Huh, that'd be awesome I always thought I had the older one. Do the older ones all have the dsc/abs module located in the 'drug bin' in the engine bay?

This has probably been mentioned somewhere but is there a simple way to determine what abs module my car has? VIN decoder shows it's a november 2002 build date
