Well, nowadays I drive just 4 miles round trip Mon-Fri due to vanpooling. Plus I have a 2010 E92 328i and a 2011 E70 X5 to drive as well. I can only drive one at a time. :thumbsup2:

Yes. $30 for the parts + 1.5 hours labor (which varies from dealer to dealer).



No decent indy shops near my house. The dealer is minutes from my office and also provides a loaner.

Both the BMW dealer and the local tire shop said the springs were fine.

Took the wheel off again last night. Less than 1/16" of an inch between the spring perch and the new tire. Hit the perch with a hammer and it moved up another 1/16" of an inch.

Nothing that I couldn't loosen with my socket wrench. After screwing in the new part by hand the best I could, I tightened it the rest of the way using a very short & stubby flat head screwdriver.

Perhaps. The 3 back screws on the skid plate go on top of the reinforcement plate. Since it took me no more than 30 seconds, I took it out. Plus I cleaned it while it was off. :thumbsup2:

Actually, no. There is only one Xenon bulb per headlamp. A moving shutter blocks a portion of the beam when in "low beam" mode. When you put the headlights into "high beam" the shutter slides away.

There's really no easy way (and by avoiding possible electrocution) other than to swap parts. Swap the ballasts first since the ignitors are inside the headlamp assemblies and therefore requires...
