Re: OBD-II port question

I had the same scanner and had never been able to get it to read. Also, when I take my '99 M3 in for inspection it takes FOREVER for the shop to get a read from the under dash port. Usually after...

Re: Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

Yeah, I'm gonna start looking locally and see if I can find someone to let me scoot around in theirs a little. I've got some friends with a bimmer shop and I'm sure they can help.

Re: Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

Yeah, I have never really been of the mindset that cars are investments. I like to drive them into the ground. I do need to get some back to back wheel time with an e46 and see which one resonates...

Re: Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

Re: Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

But general point being, while yes the value on clean e36 M3s is on the rise, that even though this color is rare, the fact that someone screwed with this car prior to me getting it, it may never...

Re: Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

Yeah :/ previous owner had it tucked and slammed. I was gonna change out the trim too once I have some money for it. It surprised me by locking up the U joint on the driveshaft last week.

Keep the Dakar for a while or get an E46?

So the E36 has always held a special place in my heart, but I guess after having a couple of them I've been itching for something different. I've only ever driven one e46 m3 and it was completely...

Re: paint-matched door moldings?

It's not the greatest picture, but when I picked up this '99 Dakar it had painted moldings. Changing them out was going to be one of the first things I was going to do, but I've honestly been torn on...

Re: ASC delete and jerry rigged Dinan CAI

Meh, yeah but I got it used and for pretty cheap. I think I paid the same amount for it as that boot. So cutting it didn't really hurt my soul. Actually had the intake cut for months and was running...

Re: 3.5" maf 24# injector upgrade

With the S50 you have 17lb green top injectors as stock. If anything I would just pick up a set of stock s52 injectors which are pink top 21.5lbs.
People commonly say that the larger injectors are...

Re: High rpm hiccup/stumble

I get it too, I usually notice it in 4th at WOT and usually between 5-6k. It's almost like a couple distinct misses. '99 s52 with 123,000 only mod being Dinan cai. It doesn't do it every time, but...

Re: another custom exhaust thread, weight

I ran the Turners on my '95 M3 a couple years ago, they did add a bit of engine noise but it wasn't too bad. I dunno if I can really speak for any power changes because they went on at the same time...

Re: My M3 - AC Schnitzer/Brax/Recaro/Dinan/RMS, etc.
