If the OBC is consistently reading 74 C, your T-stat is failing.
Recently replaced mine, and coolant is rarely below 80 C, even in much colder weather.

All the apps read the data being fed to your DME, so they are as accurate as the sensors are.
In addition to the app of choice, you'll need an OBD-II interface.

It's actually used like a rubber band, holding two pieces of a bracket together. Don't know if it's designed to fail or if it just dries and cracks (I suspect the latter). The bracket falls apart...

Part of the bracket on the window guide. As best I could tell, it's used to hold the bracket together during assembly, since when installed a bolt secures everything.

The guys talking about the screws and the OP are referring to different parts. The OP is asking about the "air duct", which utilizes two push rivets. The actual fan shroud is attached with 4 screws...

Based simply on my experience (which was a GM-V failure), you are dealing with either a lock actuator failure or a General Module V (GM-V) failure. Distinguishing the two is difficult (?impossible)...

I found the heat gun did very little to help loosen the glue/tape.
If you use the razor blade, be very careful not to scratch the paint.
After trying multiple solvents, 3M adhesive remover seemed...

The teflon tape wrapped on the bleeder screw threads helps stop air from being pulled around the threads.
If you try it without the tape, you'll see lots of small bubbles in the MityVac plastic...

My recollection is the o-ring is placed in a groove in the differential case, then the splines are inserted, and the ring locks in the groove on the spline. Not sure if you can install the o-ring on...

If you're asking if you adjust the tension applied to the belt by the tensioner, the answer is no. There is nothing to adjust.

In the US, BMW coolant is blue.
System capacity is 10 liters. If you make a 50/50 mix and the cooling system is completely dry, you'll need 5 liters of coolant.
