I wouldn’t be happy with that. If they won’t return, maybe sell that at a discount so someone gets a cheaper OE one and you pick up a much nicer fitting one.

ive bolted it all up as per your DIY. got couple of clarifications before i put valve cover on and start her up

1) the exhaust piston is sitting flat with the housing...

So at end of putting vanos back on is it recommended to turn engine few times and then also re check timing with cams in fully...

thanks guys. ive done the cam bolts and reinstalled hubs and splines(found sweet tooth with full range of motion). timing worked better by using single pin rather than two. exhaust pin drops smoother...

i know what you mean. top end is fine, i can tell. its the bottom rpm thats little bit sluggish...not heaps but enough for me to notice (have had 3 M3's)

i feel like my car has a slight lower low end pull (done fair few pulls side by side with my friends M3) and basically anything below 3500-4000 his seems to pick up little bit quicker. nothing crazy...

got in touch with Turner to clarify and they got a 'street' camber plate set which can be run on progressive springs.

their 'race' plates need the 60mm / 2.5" spring (narrow type).

on current M3 i got which also came with KW V3's , the front springs look different. they start narrower...

Mine is certainly noticeable on the tach and can feel it inside the car also.

Sounds like what you are describing.

But I've had 2 other E46 M3's and friend has another one and none had the issue.

hi guys,

got a 2005 M3 with 52k miles.

basically when idling, at random times the rpm drops couple of hundred rpm then goes back to normal. can feel car vibrate obviously when that happens..

i bought one 6 months ago and get paint shop to spray it in Estoril blue and it was perfect. no waviness...

on the tool i use its 4F for EGT.
fault code 91 for cyl 4-6 fault

used to throw pre cat bank 1 fault (code D6) until i swapped those others over and it doesnt throw that anymore..

Also forgot to mention, once i had done the swap of O2 sensors and drove the car, it came back with couple of faults:

- Signal, exhaust-gas temp sensor

and this time it also came back with -...

so you think having the post cat O2 mixed shouldnt have affected the driveability issues etc i was having? dunno mate, there is certainly a difference once i swapped them over..

Correct. I got green in bank 1 and yellow in 2.

Just found it weird about the catted sec 1 being mixed up due to header positioning.

haha agree. the reason we cut them is because one is longer than other. and if i had taken the sensor out to plug into the opposite cat, it wouldn't have been able to reach the correct plug.

EDIT: mine are also 200cell, not 100 as written in first post.

Im guessing if one of the O2 sensors was faulty the car woudn't run as well as it does?

got the ST40 355 kit and im running 15mm spacers on the front to get clearance on the oem ZCP wheels

Yeah mate at Collie. havent had any issues with the muffler (i am running resonated X pipe so that does make it touch quieter). ps the car has been sold and is on way to Sydney. i have another one...
