Re: NT01 vs R888

I always heard that the RA1 and the NT01 were the same compound, but that you have to pay to shave the RA1. The r888's are good for keeping your boat from rubbing up against the dock...that's about...

Re: 335xi as daily driver

I do when it fits. Having a space saver spare would have been better. Didn't have one, still don't. FML.

But having a friend who owns a 335 definitely qualifies you as having the only valid...

Re: 335xi as daily driver

As a 2008 335xi owner I mostly agree with Ian. Yes the N52 is a great motor, and yes the n54 has its issues. I have been through 4 HPFPs (all under warranty) and one water pump, (not under...

BTW- I just noticed you and I both run the same number!! 27!

fair point. It only makes sense that cleaning up the bottom of the wing can only help. If an airfoil is simply an airplane wing...

Swan Neck Wings

I've been looking at the aero options for my car and I'm intrigued by some of the swan neck mounts offered by Brooks and by GoodAero. Does anyone on the board have any experience with these...

I've always said, if it's not needed BMW wouldn't have put it in.

Re: Help buying roll bar, harnesses, seats.

That is the only way to properly secure a non-welded bar.

You may also want to consider the TC Klein bar, which initially designed by Mcmahon ( rollcageguy.com) and is now being produced by...

Re: Help buying roll bar, harnesses, seats.

Most of the standard roll bars will work. but, you probably want to to have some plates welded into the floor and/or make sure the bolt points are well reinforced. the issue with the raven bar is...

Re: Sneed4Speed aero

Dont forget Goodaero . Nice wing built by crawford composites. I would be very skeptical of that sneed setup and claims.

Re: Help buying roll bar, harnesses, seats.

The Raven is not a roll bar, it is a harness bar. Not bad or wrong, but please know what you are buying. with that said, I would be reluctant to use fixed back seats with it. Maybe schroth quickfit...

Only for transport, but I could run them (changes to NASA)rules this year ) and they will stay attached at speed.

Door handles from a 7 series (just like e46 with out the speaker)

Side Plexi is done. Vulcan suggested these clips (used for dragsters and circle track racers) to hold the windows in. I thought that this was really nicely executed. Check out the last pic for a...

Re: Where do you guys buy your Nitto NT01's (275/35/18)?

I just wish that Nitto made tires at the same rate that they place advertising in magazines. So tired of seeing an NT01 ad in Grassroots or European Car and no availability of tires.

Re: Post your trailer setups!

That is a bunch lighter than I would have guessed. So maybe with car some wheels, jack, etc you are at 5800lbs. 10% tongue weight in 580. 15% is 870. Can even hang that on a big SUV.
