That's very low mileage for the year, nice find! I'd start with making sure your maintenance is up to-date. Oil change? Valve adjustment? Cooling system flush? Brakes good? Bushings good? etc....

If you can't stomach $600 for a wheel, sell the car. Lots of worse repair bills you can be hit with on an E46.

Plus it just seems wrong to go from OEM to replica on a ZCP.

Most cars overstate speed by 5-10%. I think there are severe regulatory penalties if a manufacturer understates speed, so most build in this cushion.

I think your car would need a lot of aggressive mods to pull off FO, I would say just respray in silver gray. Won't hurt your resale like a color change would. These cars look great in factory colors...

I used the PFCs with my old ZCP rotors, swapped between them and OEM pads. Didn't have any issues. I really don't think you need a separate set of rotors.

Did you or the PO track the car with the drilled rotors? I've been curious to hear how they hold up on track, although the feedback I've gotten so far sounds like they are more prone to cracking.

Decisions, decisions... I was familiar with foam and plate method, but haven't looked into vincebar much, will do some research. Is vincebar visible after you've put the interior/trunk carpeting back...

If you're really against that, just find an OEM hardtop, they only weigh around 60lbs.
