Re: How rare is the E36 Slicktop??

Your car is also an example of every desirable feature available on the e36. As good as it gets for non-get/LTW cars.
I’m sure the non-sunroofers in here would use it as a talking point if you ever...

This car without the issues is a 10k car. Just depends what you want out of it if you want to bring it up to that. For a brake overhaul, paintwork, and a new...

Wonder what happened to the dude that meant to bid 18k but bid 180? Odd that he hasnít come back to put that 18k back in. My guess is 21k for this car, as high as that seems.

Re: Dilemma

It’s the other way around, but either way, pretty sure it’s day and slightly different day. Definitely noticeable, but not a world apart.

Re: Dilemma

You got a PPI from a shop that either didn't know what to look for, didn't care, or the issues weren't apparent from a basic PPI. There is a reason people suggest them, and its not to trick people...

Re: My $8.8K 176K mile Craigslist E36M3 Journey Begins

I'd just suggest a tune for the s52 when you rebuild it. The amount of fun I have revving to 7k instead of 6500 is massive. For someone that wants to experience the motor as it was meant to be, I...

Re: Dilemma

I don’t think at 5k OP needs to completely rule out the car if the rust isn’t bad and it’s fixed properly. He’s a young dude with a budget. Just takes some sense and a PPI to find a car that’s worth...

Re: Dilemma

If its a 95, Estoril with rust, thats not looking good, as its a respray, colour change, and probably more rust hiding.

That interior doesn’t look like that of a 130k car. How’s the exterior up close?

Re: To Modded to Daily Drive / E36 M3

Nice to see you over here Phil. Your car is one of my favourites. Bridges the gap between my stancy younger tastes, and OEM/track fascination of my current old man life.

Re: Dilemma

PERIOD.
At 8-9k, forget the year, colour, options, # of doors.
BUY THE NICEST CAR YOU CAN GET, with the transmission you want. The rest is just details.

Coolant sensor will also not throw a CEL
You will not know what its for until you scan it. Your OBC messages are unrelated to CEL.

Re: Holy Hagerty Values!

There is nothing that makes a 95 more desirable than a 96-99. That said the 96-99 is barely more desirable than a 95.

Re: The 230K E36 M3 Build Thread

Pretty sure the carbon sills aren't available with "m3" on them. I'm actually not sure I have ever seen them. Only these and the "BMW motorsport international" ones, which are NLA I believe.

Re: Possibly interested in trading Oxford Green on Cinnamon for SilberGrau car

Build your car for you, not the next owner. You aren't putting a pandem kit on it, the plan on this car sounds great, 1 of 1 or 1 of 1000.
