Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3. Sold the E90 M3, picked up an F80 M3.

Every time I read on of your posts on the F80, I am inspired to go that route, because it is a better value than a M2. But then I tell myself I don't need all that car for what I want, and it's too...

I thought the opposite was the case, that they are marked down. As I wrote, I have no idea if the price is a good deal, jus that the car would be a choice.

This is a 2017, with 6700 mile and they are asking $65k. Not entirely sure that is a great deal? Need to do more research and probably can work them on price, if I wanted the car.

Re: BMW upset with E46 M3 enthusiasts

I leased e36 M3 and e46 M3 almost back to back. (Just had a 330ci to bridge the 1 year wait when the production was delayed). I loved the e36 M3. It was more fun for DD for sure. It's not as capable...

Good thing its not Cinnamon interior, or the bidding would already be over $50k

Thoughts on the value of this car?

I really think the issue here is the OP. I just wasted 10 minutes reading through the whole thread, because I was genuinely curious to see what offended him. For the life of me I can't see over what...

Carbon Fiber Sunroof Fill Panel (Plug) s2R

As the title says. CF plug for e46. Had this one installed in my car for a while, but going back to stock. Looks as good as new, just got a bit of silicon glue around the edge, which can be scrapped...

Re: Thoughts on the value of this car?

You are in a discussion forum and asked for thoughts, and two pages in you are leaving the thread? I'm sorry but I have to call BS on that one.

Back to the topic. PPI's vary greatly and most...

Re: Thoughts on the value of this car?

Agreed!

However, you could have a quality aftermarket suspension on the car only, and many potential buyers would look at that as a negative. Costly labor to change it back would be a turn off....

Re: Thoughts on the value of this car?

Iím sorry, but that is just not reality. I have a pretty quality modded car and I would net thousands more returning it to stock and selling the parts off, rather than selling as is.

You canít turn back the clock. Lower mile car will be worth more than rare options.

Re: Thoughts on the value of this car?

IB, slicktop and cloth are special, but the miles diminish all of that IMO. Not saying you shouldn't buy it, or it isn't still cool to have all of those things, but for that money you can by an e46...

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

A low mile '16 for high 50's would be the best start for me, but if the right ZCP comes up, I wouldn't hesitate. In fact it might be wiser. Two schools of thoughts here. On one hand why bother with...

Valid point, but does that justify 50% of the value of any car?

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

Agreed. That is my point.

I would pay a premium also, just not double the cost of car.

Lets put the premium in perspective. What does it cost to get individual color on a new M3? $5k,...

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

This confirms that if I were to get an used F80 M3 and wanted it for occasional track duties, then going with a stock suspension, and putting a coil over on it, would be the better route to go.

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

True, but you really have to ask yourself if a a color is worth such a premium. Lets say the same car had been an average color, what do you think it would have sold for? $15-20k less? SMH

Re: FS: e46 M3 front bumper & Silver gray painted reflectors

I rather keep it together to not hurt chances to sell the bumper. Sorry

Yep, it would be $200 for sure.

I have someone interested and said he would pick it up. So sale is pending.

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

Good point, because EAG will offer 10-20% less than the car could be sold for privately, then charge an additional 10-20% premium, in essence making ~30% profit, give or take, depending on how much...

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

Agreed, EAG would probably get $30k for it, although they don't sell SMG cars. Either way, they are a good barometer, but I deduct 10-20% to figure what would be realistic for a private sale.

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

I kind of agree with others, that it's not worth more than $25k, so BaT asking for low $20's isn't that far off. I would think if they were to allow for $23.5k reserve it would be worth a chance. It...

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

I'm curious, what does paint corrected mean exactly? I read that all the time. Is that touching up little pits/chips, or is that respraying certain panels, or just buffing out small scratches?

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

I wonder if the guy selling it is flipping the car? Maybe he offered the original seller on Autotrader $30k and figured he could turn a profit selling it on BaT, which seems like it is working.

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

I 100% agree with the comparison from e36 to e46 M3. I leased both of them back to back and never missed the e36 M3.

Yes, I have thought about e92 M3 for a track car, and still do. In fact it is...

FS: e46 M3 front bumper & Silver gray painted reflectors
