Update:

I reseated fuse 28 and now I'm back to the state where the control unit is working, air can now be switched to defrost and floor.

When defrost is selected air comes from the defrost...

While I do love this muffler, I will warn you a bit. It's loud. It has a drone to it on the highway in 5th and 6th gear that can get annoying to passengers. (I like it)

It's not impossible, you just need to always be conscious of it being there. I've scraped the bottom very lightly a couple times, but what you really have to watch out for are parking blocks/curbs....

I financed mine with an unsecured loan through Lightstream. Pretty crazy, they didnt validate income or assets. I just listed them, they ran my credit and the money was in my account 2 days later....

Alright, some progress made. I've installed the factory roundel emblems, the factory ///M emblem, and removed the CF wrap from the spoiler.

Now if I can get some ZCP wheels....

I bought an E46 M3 a month ago that came with them nearly new. I hated them at first. Then after a few days I checked the tire pressure and they were at 38psi. Dropped them to 32 and it was too low....

I don't think it's possible to remove them without removing the subframe. I have my subframe out right now and am installing new bushings this week, but if I remember from when it was in, I don't...

This guys DIY for replacing all bushings and reinforcing the subframe mount points shows him using the same Koch tool for subframe and diff bushings.

I was not a fan of the wheels either but they've grown on me. I haven't started looking yet, but if I can find the stock comp wheels I would much prefer those. Also, I have originals for everything...

It's too late. I've already ordered subframe repair parts and I'm tearing out the rear end to do the preventative maintenance this weekend.
