Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

I think that 20k miles is probably the big factor. The value increases rapidly the closer you get to 0 miles.

Re: 2020 Corvette Stingray Unveiled

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

Not if you want it to be perfect. Warmup LEDs are a different color between SMG and Manual (SMG has a red LED at 4000 and yellow from 4500-7500, manual has orange from 4000-7500).

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

Re: Update DME to newer Version SW?

Any MSS54 can run any MSS54 software and any MSS54HP can run any MSS54HP software.

Complication is 2701 and 2801 Euro versions don't exist, so we'd need to support more like 5 versions (Euro /...

Re: Avin Avant 4 Thread

More than landscape view, I find they're not designed for such a low resolution (1024x600). I don't know why all the Chinese head units use that resolution, but they do. The android phones and...

Re: Input on possible CSL bumper and trunk creation

Stock bumper that was not in particularly good condition.

Guess I should be thankful that they didn't steal / break anything else.

Street parking in front of apartment. I usually park offstreet, but that night I was tired and figured I've done it before without issue. But well.

Yep. I walk out to my car this morning and the front bumper is gone. Seemingly nothing else missing or damaged.

Re: Input on possible CSL bumper and trunk creation

So, my front bumper got stolen this morning

I suspect I'll just end up going with a Euro bumper, but any chance this is near ready?

Re: Love the CSL, but hate the SMG gearbox?

Odd. My 25% isnít really notchy at all. Very firm, but I donít get that crunch into gears. I do have his so-called ďautocross editionĒ which has a bearing instead of the plastic cup for the shifter...

Re: New battery time.

Any H5 (group 47), H6 (48), H7 (94R), or H8 (49) will fit. Stock battery is an H7/94R. CSL/mini battery is an H5.

Edit: if your 325 is a convertible, then it needs to be H7 or smaller.

I dunno. That engine destroys the stock chassis as it is, I really don't think that chassis deserved more :shifty:

Are your taillights OEM or aftermarket?

The airbag error code is for the head bag on the passenger side.

I think perhaps he does not like particularly well balanced cars? He enjoys the Z3, which is a lot of things, but balanced is not one of them.

Re: Is my LCM codeable for LEDs?

Just because it's codable for LEDs doesn't mean it's codable for flashing (brake force display). You need C32 or higher for brake force display (and even that isn't as "complete" of an implementation...

Re: Small idle issue on E36 S54 - low speed / low load clutching

In this context, direct means the DME determines its speed based off a square wave signal fed directly to it vs getting the speed information from the CAN-bus. You do not have an E46 ABS/DSC module,...

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

I think he's poking fun at how bring-a-trailer types tend to value originality to an absurd extent. Though you would think a heavily modified E46 M3 recently selling for 90k would contradict that...
