Don't guess, use accelerometer. Create a table with the deceleration rates and appropriate RPM gain for each gear. Have at it with feeding the throttle until you reach the desired RPM....

Final weight 1350 lbs. - more than I expected :( Most of it are the axles, wheels and suspension.

Anyway - towing at 19.6 MPG diesel, traveling between 70-80mph.

Last weekend :) But I cut & broke my finger when changing rear springs for Qualifying session on Saturday, so that was the end of that race for me.

I wanted to go with RTR PCA this weekend...

It's the ebay nylon braid. I ductaped it whereever it looks like it might rub. Will replace the hoses if/when it becomes an issue.

It's some kind of aluminum/plastic sandwich. Plenty stiff as it is. I had it on a car before and it worked fine.

50Hz GPS, 4x Infrared cameras for tires, CAN integration, oil pressure, 8 air pressure inputs for aero development, predictive lap timer etc.

Exports data to MoTEC i2pro ;)

I'm pretty sure you've got the "Too much accel lockup, you'll spin the car out the corner" wrong. In my experience from setting up my diff, it always understeers out of a corner with the lockup.

Put it into bootmode. Short pins #37 on BOTH eeproms to ground, power up the ECU, wait 5 seconds, remove the shorts. You should be able to flash it then.

winterizing a race car

I've drained water using the plug under cyl #2 and by removing the lower hose coolant temp. sensor.

There has to be some water left at the bottom of the radiator.

Is it OK to leave it there...

Awesome ! I was suspecting that the "feel" of the car should be improved. It makes perfect sense with the extra mechanical trail. The wheels want to center more, so that should increase the steering...

Disconnect the plug. The ECU is trying to purge the EVAP, but instead opening the valve to fresh air - hence your lean codes.

So this is working remarkably well ! I've left the siphon pump in place as well. At NJMP Lightning, the starvation shows up at the fuel level needle about 2mm above empty instead of 2mm under half...

My wideband was showing 10.9 afr under full throttle for some reason, even after re-calibration. I'm feeding the ECU from it's 0-1V output as well.

Trying MTL in the transmission. My OEM fluid thins out way too much at the 260F. The good news is there's no metal residue on the transmission magnet, so no internal damage yet.

I'm pretty sure it was within 10in-lbs. There was no "pop" while loosening it. I then tighten them to 150 and immediately loosened up using 155 wrench setting.

I'm aware of that. However, I cleaned it after every session and it shows up again. No bleeding was done.

I just opened up the bleeders with a torque wrench and all four were in 155-165 in-lbs...

Taking it easy on the motor, no more than 70% throttle and shifting at 5500 RPM - basically BMW recommended break-in.

Oil temps getting up there to 3/4 mark. Maybe the rod bearings need a little...

The nipples gotta be straight threads - it would make no sense otherwise. It's the tapered end that seals the fluid, not the threads.
