If you think it's your wiring, get your multi-tester and start checking for continuity. Here's a video that shed light on the bushing and how it works in the regulator.

So, if the motor turns to move the window up and down, as well as, the bushing sits over the end of the motor and into the window support bracket that helps the window to go up and down, you should...

That's the normal behavior of the brake light switch when it's bad...it seems to last about two years...I can say to the ASC as my car doesn't have it.

How is the hose from the ICV to the elbow? A slight crack in the hose by the tip at the elbow can cause havoc and misleading diagnoses.

What were your plans...were you just let them run continually? You could let the DME/ thermoswitch to trigger the relay that comes with the fan.

It there some trick to reinstalling the shift arm bushing...one cannot snap in one side then the other...it seems that one simultaneously has to snap all four tabs...I am a little tired of fighting...

I was thinking of using a needle on a part not easily seen and spray some glue through to see whether that work. Only my driver side has the issue.

Here are pictures on the line, and the spring clip...notice on the spring clip about 300 degrees the evidence from the nut rubbing on it when it shifted...you can also see the threads in the middle...

LOL...come to think of it, I believe the culprit for buggering up the thread was the spring clip...I had thought it was welded, but then it shifted while I am screwing down. I have to order the...

So glad the frame didn't crack...recommend you get the reinforcement plate...should be about $20-30 and you don't nee to weld it. It looks as this...not affiliated nor endorse...it's the first search...

That's the problem with the StopTech SS lines...they don't have the tabs...bummer!

Yes Phil, the spring clip is winning too. I actually bought some rethreaded tools just to tackle the front passenger side, which cost me a whole afternoon of fighting. So, I left that for last to do...

Thanks M3AN for responding. Yes, it's StopTech and I have used that brand before on other cars. Yes, I would start threading by hand...then, it feels as if it catches...put the flare wrench on only...

I believe you...what I discovered when I removed the caps of second, third, and fourth gear is the bushing and the pin is one unit unlike the 320z.

Undoing the shock and let it drop was my first thought...just having difficulty seeing whether that would ease the sideways pressure.

Accidentally Stuck Rear Lower Control Arm

During the install of the adjustable rear lower control arm, I rested it on the back plate to pick up the bolt which quickly flipped and stuck itself...see pics below. So, how would you resolve this...

I believe at least in the rear with 36psi in the tire you will get rubbing if you haven't done anything else such as flattening the fender lip.

You really need to use INPA or DIS to diagnose your car...anything else, and you would be wasting your time. Have an old laptop laying around...convert it into a dedicated diagnostic BMW tool!

You already bought the correct one for your car...unless you have aftermarket pressure plate, clutch disk, and flywheel.

Okay, I put back the original pin/bushings and just tap on the new caps...did not mess with fifth, reverse nor first. I am changing the clutch master and slave cylinders as well as the clutch line...

That would have great to know before I purchase all the pins/bushings...would you just change the springs and put back the original pin/bushings and the new caps? What about fifth and reverse as well...
