Thank you Phil for sharing...the socket I have is the non-impact one; however, it has six points. I am thinking of skipping the output seal as one can get to it without removing the transmission.

There must be a reason for this zip tie looking contraption on new boot (it's not zip tie) and doesn't appears to offer any adjusting ability... what's it's for (see pic)?

What you all do with this insulation underneath the car around the transmission? It's leaking some stuff that looks like sawdust or in might be fiberglass...it's driving me crazy while I am removing...

Got it out...what I had to do was to move the diff all the way to the spare wheel well...just be mindful of the speed sensor wire pinching on the spare wheel well one won't even need a jack to...

I did everything except remove the drive shaft. I removed the drive shaft bolts to the diff...just didn't completely remove the drive shaft. I shall do that in the morning and hope for the best.

Since those two toxr bolt will take an act of congress to remove, I decided to apply a government response by kicking the can down the road. The drive side wasn't leaking...only the passenger side...

Well, I had used the correct size and used a 3/8drive breaker bar with a 11/2 extension attached to avoid the axle boot and may have had a lean...meaning the socket wasn't flat on the torx bolt which...

Then, some torx bolts on the driver side are so stuck they stripped...at least two and those suckers are expensive...$13.21 a pop...wow! What are the methods you guys used get them out? I am not sure...

The O-ring (33111214144)...really wished that was sold with the seal and snap ring...it appears that was what's causing the leak (Pax side)...now I'll have to order the o-ring from the local dealer...

Well, I was fired up to change out the differential seal and had gotten a 14mm socket allen wrench that Bentley recommended...then came the sadness...one cannot use the 14mm socket allen wrench...

Well, my cold/heat mixture wheel panel will be replaced with a used one...so, while I am there...and I shall do the filter as well.

May be it's time for a new turner chip! Get a spare DME and try that to see whether that resolve your issue.

I would encourage you to get a laptop if you don't have one already, and the interface then put factory INPA or DIS software to diagnose your problems...accuracy guaranteed.
