Re: Throttle position problems, codes P0121 and P1637, new throttle actuator + sensor

yes I know the hose clamps don't interfere. I am going to remove them to fully clean them this weekend. We will see if that resolves the issue. If not, it will probably mean another new actuator.

Re: Car dies going from high rpms to idle rpm

You need the stock MAF screen to install in the K&N intake. That helps with this problem, but doesn't completely solve it. To solve it, get rid of the K&N and go back to a stock intake box.

Re: CSL Front Bumper Group-Buy

I'm still waiting, but I think the bumper was done a long time ago...I ordered a trunk as well and that has been the holdup.

It doesn't seem like it was all that pushed back, maybe 3-4 weeks, but I always expected it near the beginning of December. These things always go that way, so it is no surprise and the communication...

How far are you down the list? I think I am close to the end, but can't remember.

Re: Supersprint V1 Stepped Section 1s -- installation/removal tips

I used copper antisieze. It was still a pain in the butt, especially working from my back on jack stands. I imagine it would be a bit easier with a lift.

So how far down the list are we? We have to be getting close to my position. (Brian Kraemer).

Re: E46 M3 Daily Drivers, have you considered another DD?

I DDed the M3 for 7 years... bought a 2010 X5 4.8i msport a couple of years ago and have been DDing that. It is pretty good, just really expensive to maintain.

Re: This seems odd - multicolored Eibach Swaybars

Just guessing, but on your normal part procurement to install timelines, you probably have much time to get them both powder coated perfectly matching STI pink, to take you back to your roots :rofl3:...

Re: High mileage M3 only - 150k+ only club

That's impressive! I had 324k on an e30 318i...there is a whole lot less stress on that engine, than the S54, though.

156,000 on mine just a few weeks ago. Got it with 48k on it...crazy how time goes.

The M3 has been a very reliable car. The most reliable performance car I have ever owned, by a considerable...

CSL bumper is going on...but that isn't a big mod. Can't imagine what is bigger than anything you have already done.

Re: thoughts on Status Gruppe SCZA Rear Muffler

Are you asking about the stock pipe? I think it is 2.38" OD.

If you are taking about this muffler itself, I have the same question. Is the tubing in the muffler a true 2.5"?

My car...

Re: Why is my cammed s54 still making the same power?

I've done it probably 6 times now. It is no way only an hour longer than removing the valve cover and doing a valve adjustment. You have to R&R the VANOS and re-time everything. That in itself is a...

Re: Why is my cammed s54 still making the same power?

I had some idle issues and a completely random stalling issue with the K&N intake when I ran it on my car. I had the screen for the MAF in place, too. It wasn't like it happened all the time, but...

Where did you get this done? I am in dire need of a front end respray. I also might paint my carbon roof...and I also need a trunk lid painted but could do the smoothing and prepwork myself.

Re: What is the appeal of the BW exhaust?

I'd love to see an exhaust that doesn't lose power on the more extensively modified engines. You could probably build something that came off of the SSv1 2.5" dual section 1 outlet, merged to 3.5"...

Re: What is the appeal of the BW exhaust?

I'm well aware of that. I would probably go this route if I was starting over. The street/track BW setup merges after the section 1, just like stock. Therefore it shouldn't suffer the torque loss you...

Re: What is the appeal of the BW exhaust?

I thought there were some more recent builds that showed it didn't lose the low end. I thought Nick Piper's dyno was one of those. The ARH headers/section 1 move the merge but are still reportedly...
