It may feel more responsive since the center bearing joint was deleted, but if you're suggesting a gain in power, then it came from something other than the weight loss.

Re: BMW development chief complains that everyone loves the e46 CSL

Re: BMW development chief complains that everyone loves the e46 CSL

I don't think the enthusiast hype is there for these "lower end" turbo track day specials (e.g. M4 GTS). An E92 with a 4.4 and weight in the 3300 lbs range might have sold though. :twocents:

Re: BMW 3er (G20) 2020 **UNVEILED**

The Gxx M3 will have a longer wheelbase than the E39 M5. Overall length will probably be within ~25 mm.

Re: BMW 3er (G20) 2020 **UNVEILED**

With an additional ~1.5" of wheelbase over the outgoing F30, I don't expect much in the way of a return to old school BMW handling.

Re: The 2018 BMW 230i is a Blast!

It's almost 300 lbs heavier than an MT-equipped 228i from the previous gen.

Re: BMW 3er (G20) 2020 **UNVEILED**

I don't think anyone is complaining about them, they were just noting the similarity to Lexus. I think they look good.

Yeah 'Murica would be in a pinch if they didn't have those billion dollar jets to scare off all the hostile invaders.

Re: EPA and DOJ Settle with Derive Systems over Vehicle Emissions Control Defeat Devi

It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. This case sets them up to sue pretty much any ecu tuner who is selling non-CARB tunes.

Re: EPA and DOJ Settle with Derive Systems over Vehicle Emissions Control Defeat Devi

Using a tune to turn off a nuisance check engine light doesn't affect the environment. It enables, but it's not the same as ecu tunes on cars with variable cam timing that are tuning out an internal...

Re: New Porsche 718 to use 4.0?

On Rennlist they're saying it's the 991.1 GTS engine (3.8L with power kit) because that is what's confirmed for the 718 GT4 Clubsport.

Looks pretty good for a 3 imo. The front grills look a little big, but at least they fixed the hood line across the front.
