Re: Oil change before or after car sits for awhile?

Wouldn't sitting for months with no oil introduce corrosion internally to areas that are normally lubricated?

Yeah, I've made the same mistake with my GC camber plates. I saw a small crack in the paint starting to form after 5 years, same ring shape, driver side only! Wasn't as bad as yours though. Installed...

I guess it wouldn't, thanks for the responses. Sounds like I shouldn't bother with post cat O2s then.
I'm going to run catless once I get the headers and see how the smell is, etc.
If need be, I...

Sounds like the wires can be routed with headers in place then, so...

That's cool, are you doing it via an iBus interface or OBD port? I have a Resler's iBus laying around from my old tablet install, wonder if I can use it for something on my Android headunit.

Re: PSA: Check for rust under your door latch

Not sure if wiping down would have helped anything, the paint was clearly worn through due to physical contact and bare metal will rust eventually, water or no water.

My alternator died last year and I replaced it with a Bosch unit from FCP.

Torque/OBD shows it running at between 13.6 to 14.0 with most of the time at 13.8.

Normal or should I get it replaced?

Re: RACP Reinforcement Advice

I would still do some sort of brace - there have been cases where plates alone actually caused more damage (RACP separating from the body vs RACP cracking), I saw one on this forum.
