Re: wash, wax, repeat

 Cosmos! The reflections look so great when it's clean. So hard to keep clean though, it's like a swiffer for airborne everything.

Re: Overheating - aux cooling fan issue?

Your puller fan should be able to provide enough cooling at idle to prevent overheating even without the aux fan, and when the temp gets over about 210 your aux fan should be kicking on anyway to...

Re: Overheating - aux cooling fan issue?

Sorry if I missed this, but do you have your stock puller/mechanical fan, or has it been removed?

If you have a fan delete, and you're relying 100% on the aux fan, it should come on WAY before the...

Re: The Season's Almost Over...What's Going On For Next Year?

I have to know, which direction are you going to point the "rips" (the fabric pattern)?

Re: another leather cleaner question

That Gliptone conditioner is like new-car-smell crack to me. Makes me almost wish I still had leather. At least I can still do the shifter/e-brake boots.

Welcome fellow Cosmos owner. From the link, the interior looks better than some I've seen, though that drivers lower bolster is gone. Any specific plans? Mileage?

Re: Getting the car up on jack stands

I see what you're saying. And I stand corrected, BMW calls them "Support Lifting Platform" so it sounds like they are intended for that purpose. I've never seen anything specific for the BMW pucks...

Re: Getting the car up on jack stands

Just my opinion, I don't trust plastic, esp. BMW plastic from 1997, as any part of a jack stand setup. I pull the pucks off, use Esco flat topped stands, and use wheels/floor jacks for added safety...

Re: Is this the clutch delay valve?

Your clutch pedal will feel like you expect it to, and you'll have more control over it. If you are good with a clutch I can't see any cons. If you're just learning to drive a stick leaving it in...

That's because you bleed your clutch by pumping the pedal 500 times. Your knee must feel like brittle decades-old BMW plastic.

Re: Stupid fuel pump

Let the filter dry completely, then cut it open to see what happened inside. I'm a little skeptical of that diagnosis; there's not much to go wrong with those filters, assuming it's OEM and installed...

Can you expand on that a little? I thought that the cam locking blocks wouldn't fit if you weren't at TDC (assuming timing was correct to begin with).

Edit: reworded.
