Re: SuperSprint Euro exhaust system install grief

I agree — this the premium priced product so it should fit. Hopefully it won’t be necessary to remove and drill out the holes.

Re: SuperSprint Euro exhaust system install grief

I would want 1/8 inch clearance. The engine and trans move together so you don’t need much but I bet you could get it if you loosened the header bolts. I have installed a few E36 headers and...

Re: E36 Oil pressure light

20 years of wear could contribute to low oil pressure. If the light stays on, beware of a loose oil pump sprocket nut.

I don’t think US spec E36 had the level sensor like you seen under the oil pan of E34 and E39 that use similar motors. The pan has an indent so maybe you could drill and tap it if you really want...

Interesting. I see people go to zero toe front but not zero toe rear.

Before you had less than optimal rear camber for handling.

That is good. You averaged 3000 miles per year in the E36M3 and drove a Mini instead so I assumed you would not drive the Vette, either.

Re: Want new tune for my 98

Mixing in a few gallons of 100 adds a safety margin that allows 93 octane levels of boost. I’d say 12-13 psi max. Water/meth helps cooling in addition to knock resistance. I think it is cheaper...

3.33 or 3.25 or 3.15 depending on mods. If all you have is an M50 manifold, I’d suggest the 3.25. Are you on 93 octane? Would you be willing to add a water/meth system?
