Re: Anyone selling stamped LTW wheels?

Full specs on all BMW wheels here: http://www.bmwstylewheels.com

8.5" LTWs come in at 9.48kg (~20lbs) so yeah, not super lightweight.

Re: Will Coupe Floor Mats fit Convertibles?

I went on a hunt a few months ago for new grey floor mats for my convertible. My local dealer told me they were NLA, black was still available. I ended up finding some grey ones on eBay, genuine BMW...

Re: Bone stock lap times at Laguna Seca?

I ran a 1:58 in my convertible with just a UUC front sway bar. Stock wheels with street tires. It was my first and only time at Laguna so It's probably not a great time, but its a data point for ya....

Re: Looking for Black Wheels for My Estoril Blue Sedan

These are my OZ wheels, they're Anthracite, not black, so they've got a nice sparkle to them. I've typically been against dark wheels, but I took a chance when I bought these and I absolutely love...

Re: Aluminum vs Plastic Thermostat Housing

I put a Uro aluminum one on my car 2 years ago, fought with it for a week and a half and gave up and went to an OEM plastic one. Hasn't leaked since. Not saying they're all bad, but theres clearly...

Re: Convertible - C pillar interior headliner coming off

I had this repaired when my top was replaced, but I did buy new plastic wings and cables. The shop didn't seem to have any troubles getting the cables routed properly or anything though.

Re: Cinnamon interior owners, WTH?

I can't comment directly on Cinnamon interior, but I just redid my E36 Dove interior with Autoberry covers. Very nice kit, high quality, colour match was perfect, fits great. Give them a call and...

Re: Manual transmission fluid

The seal is serviceable with the trans in the car. But it is definitely not fun and is infinitely easier with the trans out of the car. If you have any reason to have the trans out in the near future...

Re: Manual transmission fluid

I use Redline MTL as well. Never replaced the plugs either. I'd suggest pulling the fill plug first though. If you pull the drain plug and then for whatever reason you can't get the fill plug out...

Re: Installing Koni rear shock

If you're doing Koni's in the front they aren't a simple bolt on solution either, they're just inserts. You'll have to gut your existing struts and bolt in the Koni inserts. Still not hard but a bit...

Re: WD40 Killed Idler Pulley

This. I have a small shelving unit full of different lubricants/sprays/penetrating oils/fluids/etc. in my garage. Not a single one of them is WD40.

Re: E36 M3 as first car??

'Vert owner here. Yes, they are heavier, softer, less practical (my goodness that trunk is useless), and more complicated. If you're not going to be tracking it super regularly (I do track mine 2 or...

Re: Radiator shroud issues !! Incorrect installation

Same thing happened to me on track, only my fan blades didn't break, just sliced the hose open. I ended up just replacing the hose and zip tied it right to the shroud for extra security. Just make...

Re: Is you have a low mileage M3... think again cluster swap

I don't know if they've been entirely useless. They could probably be used for some sort of grammatical lesson.

Re: Help on e36 slicktop coupes rare but how rare?

Lol. Salty. You asked a stupid question, don't be angry about a sarcastic/rude response. Going to a dealer with a VIN for one car and asking for info about others is pretty backwards.

I believe...

Re: Head Unit/Radio Replacement When Already Aftermarket

It all depends on how the current unit was installed. Whenever I install an aftermarket HU I buy a proper vehicle specific harness adapter to solder into the new radio harness. This way the original...

Re: Apex Anthracite too "modern" for my e36?

I think they look great! Although I may be biased.. I have anthracite wheels on mine too, not Apex, but still. I will mirror the others and say that I prefer 17"s but those do look quite nice.

Re: Leather Seat Reupholstery Options

I appreciate your input but really this is useless to me. I don't have Vaders and I'm looking for a full kit, rears included. Also at that price point I'd be very skeptical of the quality.

Re: Power steering cooler kit

I did this in the paddock at Laguna Seca after my hose broke free around turn 9. It's held up ever since.

I actually have an unused OEM Lighted knob sitting in a BMW box in my garage right now. I may be willing to sell it.
