Looks like a nice car, with very low mileage at 43k, and appears that be a decent turbo conversion. Would be hard to duplicate for $25k given the 43k mile M3 starting point.

Re: Performance shops near Berkshire County, or Worecester Ma

Yes, centrifugals are predictable and controllable and that makes them easier to drive on a track. I went from centrifugal to turbo on my E36M3 and much prefer the turbo but it's a street car.

You might need custom crank and accessory drive pulleys to drive the blower fast enough to make 18 psi.

Any chance this happens only after filling up and that maybe the vent system is not working and forcing some gas out onto the top of the tank where it puddles?

I don't think anything more is needed. It seems so simple to me but maybe I am missing something. If the exhaust sprocket arrow is lined up with the edge of the head, you are good.

It should work at idle. I think you have problem with yours. Might have a leak and be low on coolant. Might need rpm to keep it working.

Cut a one inch piece off an Allen wrench or socket. Stick it in the drain or fill plug. Use a wrench on that. There are actually low profile Allen sockets made for this kind of work.
