Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

This is what I suspected. I'll uncheck the "Disable SAP / Cat Heating Sequence" and leave the "Disable SAP DTCs" checked. Does this disable all the necessary DTCs or do I need to go in and manually...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Got around to flashing my E39 M5 yesterday to clear the SAP DTC codes. I started by going in there with a hex editor. The only code I was able to figure out how to zero was the AA code.

After...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Looks like my ebay cable isn't going to do the job for BMWFlash. Wasn't able to get it to connect to my DME. I downloaded MProg and it reads as a 'Blank Device' when I try to scan it. The cable works...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

I found this really helpful pdf: http://www.mss54.info/p0lar/scripts/DME%20Tuning%20Howto%20v0.0.3.pdf

To delete the codes 0x13, 0x3F, 0xAA, and 0xAB, would I essentially be reading my software in...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Awesome. I'm doing my best to read through the "Comprehensive MSS54/MSS54HP DME Information" thread, but it might take me a few weeks.

Do you mind giving me a high level summary of what I need to...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

A "Ready" reading for SAS would be ideal. 7837963 is the software that I have currently on my DME. I will certainly do my due diligence and read up on MSSFlasher / BDM Interface in the meantime.

...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Sounds like an Evolve tune may be in my near future.

PS: Big fan of some of your builds. I've always wanted to paint/wrap my E36 Porsche green since I saw yours =P

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Love it!

I'll try anything before I pull the damn heads off to fix my Secondary Air Pump =P

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Would you care to point me in the right direction on how I can learn to perform this? I'm comfortable editing hex tables if I know what I'm doing.

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Sounds like I might be in quite the pickle, then.

I would just fix my SAS problem but unfortunately on the E39 M5 a common culprit is clogged intake ports from carbon buildup. This requires the...

Re: MSS52 / MSS54 / MSS54HP Binary Modification Tool

Thank you for making this tool. I am interested in purchasing as I am trying to completely delete the SAS system in my E39 M5 to the point where the OBD Readiness is Not Available.

I've already...
