Re: Torsen/Helical vs. Clutch type LSD

Find an older V8 BMW with a 210mm LSD. You used to be able to find them for $150-$200 for the entire diff. Now youíre looking at least $500.

Thanks for the summary! I was looking at the TTFS air rail but your options above are more palatable. And epic post!

MANY THANKS!

Re: Headliner replacement options..suggestions?

In my 330, I used micro suede from Hobby Lobby and 3M spray adhesive 90 (black/green can) to redo my headliner and a/b/c pillars.

I peeled off the backing from the micro suede. If you do, you have...

Iíd just disconnect the yaw sensor near the front seat under the carpet. More of a pain but you want the steering angle sensor if you do alignments and pull data for track use.

Re: Billet Power Steering Reservoir

Looks like a massive waste to me. If thermal expansion is such an issue I'd add more cooling. But I'd never had an issue PS fluid overheating on my E46.

Try if you want. Out of fear of warping my rotors, I removed my handbrake and all hardware so Iíd never have to face to possibility.

Re: Drove with e brake on for 8.5 miles. What should I do now?

Lol. You really must be a genius.

It is a mechanical unit so all that happens is the shoes get worn down until the shoes are no longer in contact. There is not enough brake pressure to create...

Itís a mechanical expander so nothing else would get messed up except your pride.

Just watch those springs when youíre replacing the shoes...wear safety glasses.

Re: 4.10 Gearset with ZF 5-Speed at quick tracks

I would actually go the other way. I would consider 265/35R18s and 255/35R18s especially if you run R-comps. You can use a 3.62, 3.73 or 3.85 and gear it up with a shorter tire. If you're a baller...
