Re: Just got all my Supersprint stuff. Would you worry about this dent?

You just don't get it. Show some evidence that the SS Section 2 with its dents and all makes less power on a stock car than with the stock section 2.

Re: Just got all my Supersprint stuff. Would you worry about this dent?

Not everyone is counting to the 10th decimal place when it comes to hp or whp. The S54 makes plenty of power for the street stock.

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

I think he’s getting at the fact people are going to have to deal with your car being smelly and expelling even more toxic pollutants because you were too cheap to get cats. The standard M3 is bad...

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

IMO, you should have gotten the catted section 1 and the resonated section 2 if you were planning to get the best sound and performance possible. There is just no good reason to not run cats.

Re: 50% off Supersprint Exhaust Cyber Monday Only!

Don't you mean section 1? That dual resonated setup is the cleanest way to reduce the stock rasp with the factory headers.

With a catted section 1 and the resonated X pipe, any of the SS mufflers...

Re: new member with not quite an M3 here.....

This car would look way better with a proper wheel and tire setup. It looks broken in its current state with the - 4 degrees of camber in the rear to fit those 10" wheels. Everything else looks good.

If trying to keep it classy, the Die Wethje one is the best. Everything else looks tuner.

Re: Offset and camber on your 10” rear wheels

TboneM3, you act like you know everything, but you don't.

Take a picture of the inside of the rear wheel arch lip and let's see how much paint has been removed.

Re: Offset and camber on your 10” rear wheels

With maxed out stock camber and a 275 tire, it will rub under heavy compression. Seen it on a few cars. If you are going more camber, then it is trial and error to find the right amount of camber. If...

Even with max or close to max stock camber and lowered with a 10" et25, be prepared to take off all the paint inside the inner lip of the rear wheel arch. Depending on the environment, this will...

Re: Recommend a daily driver

Keep the M3, but if you must get a replacement DD, E-Golf for under $200 a month. It would be my go-to for a comfortable, fairly fun daily driver commuter.

Re: Should I get 288/280 or 280/272 cams?

Go for broke, 304/296 14mm lift and don't forget to remove the VANOS :parrot:

Otherwise, the 280/272 is probably best for a street car.

Rather not. Already tested the setup long enough to never want to drive another compromised Alpha-N setup again.

Re: Stalling issue on ALpha-N-, Maffless tune

No, it is the nature of Alpha-N. You can have a fully maintained car with no error codes running Alpha-N, and it still won't work as well as it did with the MAF.

Re: P54B32 Airbox Oil Separator - Who has info on it?

Let's not add complexity to the design. One of the best aspects of the S54 is that it is a fairly simple, elegant design and easy to work on. Adding extra stuff is just not necessary.

Re: Stalling issue on ALpha-N-, Maffless tune

Check the idle control valve connections. If there is a vacuum leak somewhere, the engine will almost always stall when coming to a stop. Alpha-N drivability issues are not worth the headache. IMO,...

Re: BMW Performance Brakes on E46 M3

4pot 355 is more than enough for this car. Plus pads are less costly and the caliper weighs less than the 6pot.
