Re: What did you do to/for your ///M today?

The pistons are hard anodized, so they won't scratch easily, but still take care with them as they're useless if the surface that rides on the pressure seal is compromised.

Thanks, a machine shop.

Re: Smog help (CA)

If you want to mod (for power) your car and live in CA, this is the headache you have to deal with and you should have done the nec. research to figure out how best to do it or deal with it.

Re: Tyler's "Better late than never" 2004 SG 6MT Slicktop Journal

Ya it was on the car for a day and I promptly took it off before I could get a clip sorry. I doubt a clip would even portray the change correctly as I notice that a lot is lost (esp with a cell...

Re: Tyler's "Better late than never" 2004 SG 6MT Slicktop Journal

It really is and 2 people can have a very similar setup, but it still sounds different due to one or two little things. Plus then you take everyone's hearing/perception/taste into it...

Re: Tyler's "Better late than never" 2004 SG 6MT Slicktop Journal

I know. I promise I'm not knocking them, they're sweet parts, but I just hated how they changed the car. I loved how SS stepped headers changed the car so it's not like I'm an OE or nothing type of...

Re: Tyler's "Better late than never" 2004 SG 6MT Slicktop Journal

Ya I've tried a number of parts and have always trusted my gut even though the parts look sweet or have cache (like TMS monoball fcabs). And maybe some people will love the sound, IDK. Just not for...

Supersprint 2.5" oversized sect 2 "dual pipe" unresonated - Socal

For sale is a lightly used Supersprint dual pipe, unresonated, sect 2. For me, I didn't like how it changed my exhaust sound (killed rasp/different sound), and I'm not building an all-out power car,...

Re: ZCP steering rack upgrade worth it?

I believe you do, but mk60 can get away with not doing it. Search key words like mk20, mk60, code, rack and you should find the answer, probably a post by "Terraphantm".

Re: Deciding on a new battery

Don't think I even had to shim it either, just put it in and tightened it down. No issues, well over a year now, and the car sits for a week or two often. I haven't even been good about putting it...
