I'm sure you can buy just the screen. I bought one for my wife's e90 recently.

Re: The Official E46 M3 Oil Analysis Results Thread

Re: Valve Cover Gasket

That's the plan, of course! It's just about whether I can throw this Buna gasket back on there for a week or hell for another 1.5 years.

Went ahead and ordered an OE gasket. Wish the second to...

Re: Valve Cover Gasket

Thanks for the reply. I know the question is odd, but I found myself thinking about the difference between 1 time use (ex. stretch bolts) vs 1 time use due to service interval. If Buna conforms to...

Valve Cover Gasket

Hey guys,
I am doing the vanos overhaul on my car in the next week or so. I ran into some free time and was planning on popping off the valve cover to check the tabs to see if I needed to go ahead...

Re: TTFS CSL Tune vs 6spd swap

Just remember to flash both pieces of the csl software (ie engine and trans) if you are going to go that route.

Also interested in this as I would prefer to retain the stock trunk liner.

Re: Painted reflectors

The Bimmian set I bough 6 months ago matches perfectly. I can't even imagine having this car with those stupid reflectors unless I had a very particular color that enhanced the look. Must do mod,...

Re: Cheapest Trans Swap

It's ironic that such a mediocre transmission also has such mediocre serviceability.

Re: Bad paint/rust - touch up/respray panels or entire car?

I don't want to beat a dead horse, but you absolutely have to understand that just because you can't see some new spots does not mean that it is not spreading below the paint. Just please, please get...

Re: Bad paint/rust - touch up/respray panels or entire car?

I would strip and respray the car, but that is easy to say because I have the ability and gear to do so. I have nothing against wraps, but it's one of those things where you already did the hard work...

Yep. OP, you should be more concerned and acting on this since you have stated this car has sentimental values specifically. Time to act like it :twocents:

Re: ACL Rod Bearing review

Watching this thread intently. For an integral part, I am more risk averse, but in general, I think the OE and genuine bmw part craze is just plain silly for a decent amount of parts that we replace.

Re: What would you do? S54 conundrum

You should just return your car to stock and buy a lower mileage car to put all your loot into instead of worrying about this. Why does this car have to be the one?

Re: OEM ZCP Rims Color, Best Powder Coat Match?

Yeah, clearly. My point is that if a shop can do shadow chrome correctly, they absolutely will have to skills to do the hypersilver found on the various M cars as it is far easier to get the shade...
