Re: E46 m3 6-speed?

I think the pressure plates have different bolt patterns, which necessitates the different flywheel

Re: Introducing the VinceSkinz (subframe plates)

For me, it largely comes down to it being beyond my skill set to install, and every shop I talk to doesn't want to deal with epoxy + rivets.

Re: E46 m3 6-speed?

You'd need the s54 flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, E36 M3 evo transmission mount, and a custom driveshaft.

Here's a swap into an S54 M-coupe:...

Re: Control cruise not foun after conversion smg to manual m3 e46

If you use the GPS and wiring is done properly, there should be no adjustment necessary beyond flashing a stock manual binary.

Re: Control cruise not foun after conversion smg to manual m3 e46

If it's not working with 02 with the clutch sensor wired to the DME, then something isn't wired properly or the sensor isn't an M3 sensor.

Re: Genuine BMW CSL Headers - BRAND NEW

05+ is the same as CSL, but they weren't superseded - you can still buy the old version from BMW, and that's what that turner version is.

11627833500 and 11627833501 are the 05+/CSL version

Re: Trust Waze or the speedo?

They *can*. Internally the calculation is spot on. Apparently German laws force them to deliberately introduce an error. And I guess they figure they don't have to fix it for the US.

Re: No gas pedal after CSL Airboxes conversion. EML light.

I mean it's not purely an aesthetic issue - the crimp is stronger without the bulge. I've had the boot slip off the airbox (while removing it) with a weaker crimp

Re: No gas pedal after CSL Airboxes conversion. EML light.

The ones on the throttle body side are meant to be reusable. The ones on the airbox side aren't, but those almost never have to come off.

This is the correct tool for the reusable ones:...

Re: OE Waterpump - Is this for real?

They were, but they seem to have switched to new at some point. RealOEM no longer lists it as rebuilt (The previous part number, 11517838159 was listed as reman'd)

Re: BMW is NOT playin games with the F90 m5.

Since the E34, no M5 was particularly light. They all hovered around 4k lbs until the F10, which gained a bit of weight. The new one is a little lighter than the F10 (though not by a whole lot), and...

Re: Group buy: Karbonius CSL Airbox - Up to 14% off

Correct. Specifically, 2004 (09/2003) and newer cars got the HP DME. If BMW ever replaced the DME on an older car, they may have had an HP retrofitted as well (HPs superseded non-HPs for all M3s).

Re: No gas pedal after CSL Airboxes conversion. EML light.

That's the IC that controls the flap. It's not present on non-CSL DMEs by default - it was added. Unlikely to be causing his particular issue unless there's an internal short (even then, I think the...

I agree, it's probably not meant for the M3. The only kits Bilstein's own catalogue lists for the M3s are the B12, the B16 PSS10s, and the ClubSports

Re: Won't stay running...video included. ICV? Vacuum leak?

If it ran for a few minutes EWS is fine. I guess over a few months it could have lost all fuel pressure and needed a few tries to prime. Though my car generally starts right up after storage.

Re: Won't stay running...video included. ICV? Vacuum leak?

Yeah, I do agree that it feels a little different. Only other thing I can think of is failed fuel pump. But that would become a crank with no start situation after one or two tries.

Nope, but they at least seem to last a good while. They actually used to go for quite a bit more (was unheard of to get them for < $500 at one point)

I can see the argument for excluding people who need regular medical treatment and psychiatric evaluations from the battlefield. But limiting that judgment to trans people only doesn't make sense.

If it's what I think you're talking about, the other end of the tube goes to fuel pressure regulator. Serves as a vacuum reference.

Yeah you should do that too.

E36 mode sets it so the DME works a bit better with E36 generation electronics. DME doesn't look for a coolant output temperature. It doesn't look for a torque value...
