The ABS/DSC actuator/pump was only located in that cubby hole for the 2001-2002 U.S.-spec. E46M3's. BMW moved that unit to the other side of the engine bay (under the DME) for the 2003-2006 model...

Ceramic = Non-metallic

Non-Metallic = won't interfere with various radio frequency bandwidth signals. (Cell phone FM & Sirius satellite radio, GPS, etc.)

It won't HURT anything. Trust me...

The car runs off a pseudo Alpha-N when it's in Limp-Mode anyways. (backup map)

Nothing bad can happen. Try it and see if your car fires up.

Also make sure the RED POSITIVE battery terminal (located on the passenger side near the fire wall) is tight. :thumbsup2:

You know Tom, I've seen quite a bit of peeling paint on POLISHED surfaces before. It appears in the photos that BMW decided to paint over a highly polished area, without 'roughing up' the metal...

Yep...

Just looked up the first code and...

P1717 = SMG Transmission code (BMW equivalent code is 056)

This is an indication that the SMG hydraulic pump exceeded it's maximum "time limit"....

Here is a hi-rez closeup of AMPowerJ's left exhaust tips. See how the paint is bubbling up? That's due to a poor heat threshold and/or a poor adhesion problem wouldn't you say?

a) Scan for any fault codes asap. (are the SES or EML lights on?)

b) If any fault codes ARE present...post them up.

c) If no codes are present...start by disconnecting the NEGATIVE battery...

Poor surface prep/cleaning stage (prior to the application of the clear coat) will result in that type of corrosion UNDER the clear coat. Especially if their was any moisture present on the aluminum...

Also be aware of a discrepancy between the taper of the spacer's new EXTENDED hub lip, and the rear centerbore wheel chamfer of the Rezax II's.
