$9000 and some change less the 3200 if I want to buy it back. That number is after I fought a few more hundred out of them for maintenance items and options they didn't include.

So the insurance company is saying "$3,200" to buy it back. That seems awfully high to me.

I told them I would definitely consider buying it back for $2,000 - they're getting back to me tomorrow....

Electric fan that sits in front of the radiator fell off...

Just checked realoem.com with no luck...

The fan fell off, but is still in good shape. Looks like the hardware/clip that held it on has rusted off. Anyone have a part number for the clip?

Real easy job man, just get the GC or Rogue mounts which come with reinforcement plates and mount opposite (upside down) of the OEM mounts so you can get quick easy access inside the rear wheel well...

dude easy on the launches and hard 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. The regular WRX trannys are ticking time bombs. My friend blew his up twice.

The STi tranny is pretty much bulletproof though.

Got the old alternator out, but what do I need to release the tension from the belt? I popped the cap off the tensioner but can't seem to get the tension released.

Mine is fine on my daily driver. No droning at all. I have the AA Gen3 cat-back though, which is one of the more conservative exhausts for the E36. Really mild until about 4k+ rpm.
