Re: Did I just lose an injector?

It's a voltage malfunction, so it's either the injector itself, the wiring/ connector, or the driver in the DME. Safe bet to start with the injector

I also don't think I've seen a single post where you haven't gone around thumping the OE Parts bible

There are trade-offs, sure, but there are plenty of aftermarket parts that increase...

Re: One piece driveshaft? Experience?

Are you speaking from experience with a one-piece driveshaft? Or is this your opinion?

My driveshaft/ components lasted the previous owner 70k miles. It lasted me 15k hard/ track miles. Rather...

Re: One piece driveshaft? Experience?

My concern is that I'm paying $250 for a CV joint, since the old one's seal failed and flung the grease everywhere (and now the CV joint isn't very mobile even though it "works"), $200 for a flex...

Re: One piece driveshaft? Experience?

Yeah, 5lbs.. $600.. not feeling it, personally. I'm mostly concerned about replacing the stock driveshaft with something more simple/ less failure prone, but want to be aware of the trade-offs (i.e....

One piece driveshaft? Experience?

I was looking at this guy, and it's quite appealing to install this and never worry about replacing the CSB/ Guibo/ etc. ever again. Anyone on here with first-hand experience?

Re: Brake feel, OEM vs aftermarket(PFC, Brembo, Stoptech, etc)

If all you care about is feel - sure. Just making sure you realize that a BBK doesn't change the point where ABS kicks in :thumbsup2:

How would overfilling change the output pressure of the pump, exactly?

Brakes won't change the limit of traction

As Obi said, there are lots of cases on the forum where PF FCABs disintegrated under track use.

Also for future reference, if you only overfilled by about a half quart or so... just track it like...

Re: CPV valve leak, not the o-ring?

Ah, yeah, that's where I got mine. Definitely deburr the area, ensure there are no gashes on the sealing surfaces. And ensure the seal is lubricated

Re: CPV valve leak, not the o-ring?

Where did you get the O-ring? Is there a spec you used?

FWIW, I changed mine and it hasn't leaked since

Re: CPV valve leak, not the o-ring?

Stop getting OE replacements! They just have standard O-rings that will fail.

Get one of the replacement Viton ones for your existing valve

Re: ECU compensation for larger injectors/drive to tuner

Don't get me wrong, they're awesome - more just a heads up that the tuner can't just scale them linearly and call it a day :hattip:

Re: ECU compensation for larger injectors/drive to tuner

3 track days/ 5k here based on oil analysis. Sent it in with two track days, several hundred miles and they more or less chided me for sending in such a low-wear sample.

Because it's more expensive, made by the same companies, and has a shorter warranty?

Re: Help. Misfire on all cylinders car isn't running.

Yes.. especially if it's kinked under that bracket, that's what feeds air to your engine at idle.

Have you reset adaptations?

If all else fails, I would check the crank sensor

Re: ECU compensation for larger injectors/drive to tuner

Either ask him for a base map or tow the car. No reason to subject your engine to bore wash for 250 miles.

Closed-loop feedback from O2's will *help*, but injectors have more parameters than just...
