Make sure the glass transition temp is high enough like 80C + so it doesn't go soft/pliable

as said glass weave is stronger than CF but has 1/2 to 1/3 the stiffness so it usually ends up thicker. make it too thick and the sound is impacted something to be aware of

110-115f ambient on street A/C on stiuck in heavy traffic is going to heat soak, pretty gold foil or not as the airbox gets hot by other means of heat transfer. Fully Insulated will buy you a lot...

I've actually been thinking about a sandwich box with carbon, then Insulation, then carbon on top. It would kill the sound though. I'm making plans for a box on different engine might experiment.

Gold foil is for reflecting radiation like from something really really hot eg exhaust it is not anywhere near as effective for other lower temp things where something with insulation properties is...

stock vs euro headers

cliffs
stock run was rich at top end made 300 hp (already had an unknown tune)
after install euro headers made 310 hp
after tune made 319 hp

would have been better to...

i interpreted it as a comparison of dynocom to dynojet for same mods, specifically that the dynocom pisses into your pocket more than a dynojet

it cost me $150 for enough epoxy to make an airbox that was smaller than the concept here, had to be good enough to 120C

i made a hand layed GRP airbox using glass weave and post cured epoxy not the shitty chopped mat stuff and it needs to be quite a bit thicker than CFRP to have the same stiffness so ends up being...
