Re: 2003 E46 M3 Clutch Whinning sound Question

Stick to OEM when replacing the clutch, unless you plan on making some serious power (600+ hp, imo). If you search around a bit you'll find that most people have had bad experiences with...

Re: SMG Compression Spring Questions

Haha no need for apologies, this isn't quite an old thread yet. Based on your symptoms, I would agree that a broken spring(s?) is the problem here. Thanks for updating, this is good info for other...

Re: SMG Clutch Slip - anyone got a fix..?

I was actually just thinking about creating a detailed thread about this problem today, before I happened to see this thread. I think a lot of SMG owners are replacing their clutches too early...

Re: SMG Clutch Slip - anyone got a fix..?

As others have said, the full SMG reset w/ an AE tool, GT1 or the like should solve your problem. I had the same problem, and it was resolved w/ the reset. It will take some time for you to feel...

Re: Header, cats, sec1. . .

You could still run headers, just weld cats into your section 1 or if you want to go w/ an OEM-like setup, or get the Euro section 1.

Re: Header, cats, sec1. . .

Having a CEL and passing OBD2 scan are 2 different things. Not necessarily related. When I was running catless, I had no CEL on my car but couldn't pass the OBD2 scan due to too many "not ready"...

Re: Header, cats, sec1. . .
