Re: How F'd am I?

Good idea too - I'd used a flat washer as a nut may not touch all of the kingpin surface as well as a lock washer under the nut. Or I guess you could always use Loctite instead of lock washer.

Re: Pentosin MTF2 Discontinued

Here's a nice UOA for FFl4 from an e92 DCT with getrag. Not apples to apples, but still useful I think. I like that the viscosity is holding at 7.5 after 51k and I like that the EP present is...

Tough to know yet, it's better to analyze once you have some numbers imo.

Re: Rear QP damage... next plan of action?

It'll be totaled probably. Just happened to member Good_M3 who's doing a part out right now. It's the damn huge QP that goes all the way to the front.

So, play hardball with your car's value. ...

Re: Pentosin MTF2 Discontinued

You just don't want a diff fluid (which are all GL5 rated) with EPs and molybdenum in your tranny. If a fluid meets our tranny's specs and also meets GL5 specs, but Ep and moly adds are absent, then...

Absolutely! Both with and without the red and gold adjustment perches. With the perches, you should use the tear drop shaped reinforcement plates. Garagistic has the cheapest if your kit doesn't...

First paragraph, I confirmed with a dealer that it was the pentosin, same stuff, but didn't end up buying it as I got a better deal on ebay from a guy.

Second, my buddy ordered the ffl4 per fcp...

Re: Sold the Jet Black, picked up an E90 M3

Correct. Sound wise, the eventuri might be enough for someone (prob not), but performance wise, there's very little between eventuri and stock (I really did feel a good bump, but not that big). The...

You can get some solid engines for under $4k. Don't be too afraid of 100k mileage honestly. If it's had all the right work done, it'll go another 200k with one more clutch and set of bearings with...

Re: Square 19 csl - replica vs oem?

If aftermarket, I'd get Sportlines 19" CSL reps. Very light, very similar to apex quality wise (flow form) and you can choose different combos of staggered or a square set.

I have the 18s, but...
