Is there anyone besides streamline using the CSL mounting system? I was under the impression that most are using the alu carrier.

Re: Adding another H pipe to stock e46 m3

H pipe location is pretty critical to power-- I suspect you'll have some unintended negative consequences from there.

Re: American Racing Headers for the E46 M3

In my experience most people are catless when they're younger, with less income available for modding, and add cats as soon as they're in the budget. If they're lucky, that period is short enough...

At stock ride height, bump travel is maximized and suspension geometry is functioning as designed.

AFAIK, the only spring that was designed specifically for use with the Konis were the Dinan...

Deleted this post, as it's one of the worst suggestions I've seen on this forum. See above.

Given the age of the thing, I'd just replace all the seals that can leak over time:
valve cover gaskets (might as well do a valve adjustment while in there if you're due)
vanos sealing plate ...

Re: OEM Strut & Spring Replacement ; equal to or better then

If you've sworn off lowering, Konis with the stock springs is a kickass setup. Other than the cosmetic lowering factor, it's superior to Koni + aftermarket springs.

If you want to go with a...

Re: Tire Help: Michelin PS4S or Nitto NT-01 for HPDE & Street Use

I have a prototype of BK's redesigned e46 harness bar, and it takes about 2 min to install and/or remove (and takes up very little trunk space, when I have it there going to/from the track).

You could do you tire swap at home, and run NT-01s to/from/at the track, PS4Ss when not there.

.... one of the best things about the M3 is how you can stick 4 full sized track tires in the back...

Re: Tire Help: Michelin PS4S or Nitto NT-01 for HPDE & Street Use

The Michelin street tires don't hold up under track heat. As in, they melt, ruining them. If you're going to be tracking, I'd go another route.

Might be time for different street and track tires,...

Re: Lack of Torque--

To get to the cam bolts (the bolts that are the failure item), you have to completely remove the sprocket-- at which point the timing is lost.

One switch per seat on the e46 mounts.

Two switches per seat on the e39/e38 mounts, which is what's pictured when you go to those links.

My guess is it'll be some sort of sensor... once it fails enough to throw a code.
