You're supposed to do it in one motion. I did bearings on M52 but I had subframe completely out.

The consensus is that the torquing procedures give you proper clearance and that plastigage is not needed.

Seem to recall that TIS says to clean and oil. But I'll let the experts chime in.

If you can do it. My car is track only (no longer street legal), so I am limited on break in ability.
