You could get the stock knob, that has basically the same shape as the zhp at the top but its much longer so it doesn't look so fat relative to its length

Re: The Official Bring a Trailer (BaT) Listing Thread - E46 M3

It's hilarious to me how obvious these photos make it that the e92 zcp wheels just aren't for the e46.. they made the e46 zcp/csls for a reason

Re: Still looking to add another, Anyone tried an m6 manual, v10?

Totally agreed. Also, call me crazy, but I think the noise of the S54 up to 8k is so sweet/special. The S65 is a hell of a v8 and the sound on cold start gets me every time, but the S54 (not far...

The e92 is similarly annoying on fill ups vs. the e46. I swear my dad has to fill up every 3 days or so on his regular commute

Re: Still looking to add another, Anyone tried an m6 manual, v10?

No offense or anything, but that's what I don't get. Why own a 4 door saloon as a garage queen/weekender.. Not that it isn't a special experience, but the purpose of the M5 is to be a daily...

Hah, if anything it would be E46 M3 with S65 swap. Though, I quite like the engine that came standard

Re: Still looking to add another, Anyone tried an m6 manual, v10?

Agreed that the V10 likely isn't worth it.. I'm partial to the 996 turbo. Fun as hell and I get the impression they're fairly bulletproof. 911 turbo is an awesome daily imo

Re: Whatís the best way to reduce NVH?

What sort of noise/vibrations?

Pretty much any rubber has some effect on nvh. Diff/trans/engine bushings, csb and guibo should pretty much take care of the drivetrain

I like those hood vents (N15 design..?). Anyone ever fix them to the underside of the hood for a cleaner appearance?

Re: Is there such a thing like clutch spindown time for manual transmission?

When you are stopped in first gear with the clutch pedal depressed (clutch disengaged) and you rev the car a bit, does the car move at all? If your clutch isn't disengaging all the way, this could...

Re: Alternate Jack Points

Well, isn't jacking up the car the cause of the floor bending? If it happens once I don't see why it wouldn't happen again

I agree it would be nice to fix it permanently

No offense but I don't think further yielding the metal by bending it back and forth is the best idea..

Re: GL5 75W90 gear oil in the transmission??

Interesting... that would be awesome if we can add friction modifier to the GL4 for smoother shifting, less wear and no downside (barring cost)
