Sticking's going to be easier to sort, I'd start with the sliders, are they greased up properly with copper grease?

Seems very unusual unless you have a very harsh environment. The piston boots are quite challenging to put on correctly, have all your rebuilds been done correctly?

Have you diagnosed exactly...

Looks clean and electric rear vents...

But are you in the US? Can you import this?

You also might want to ask over at m3cutters.co.uk, they're more familiar with this model.

It's an exclusive local car, practically impossible to come by with this pedigree and in mint condition.

It's more than the sum of its parts.

As above test with DIS.

But really the S50B30 single VANOS is a trivial job. Forget the rattle kit and it will take no more than a few hours extra over and above your valve job.

Just do it for...

1. Not very from the factory but after thousands of km's they can become quite restrictive. But it's unlikely they'll get "really restrictive" for 100's of thousands of km's.

2. No, removing cats...

Yep, any 200 cell aftermarket cat (x2) will be fine, just get the correct diameter (60mm?). Magnaflow are fine, should be less than US$100 each.

Re: S50B30 SAP delete

Part #6 is a PITA to remove, most leave it on and cap the valve as you have.

IIRC #5 + #6 weighs <600 gms.

Next time the engine is out or the manifold off remove the rest.
