Re: E46 M3 vs M4...driving feel?

R35 GTR would definitely be an awesome contrast to the M3. Analog feel and balance in one corner, brute strength and terminator capability in the other

Definitely reach out to the APE people as well - if the box is picking up false edges or something, that could be pretty bad.

I was using an Autologic, but just commanding throttle to 100% (no specific procedure) seemed to work well when I did that

Same!

Doog, it's a bummer you never got to experience what the M3 was really for - enjoy your future Mustang variant, though

Re: What are these covers for?

Yup. A lot of modern cars are like this for drag reduction/ efficiency/ etc. Zero cooling to the brakes was one of the biggest pitfalls for my Focus ST and one of many things that drove me to the M3...

Re: Trailering E46 M3, where to tie-down?

They're also getting an alignment before each race, if not each session.. are you? You're putting a lot of force on some relatively weak components (tie rods, lower control arms, etc.)

If the CVN is a checksum, someone like p0lar or Terra can magic that up faster than a CSL tune that passes emissions - it's called a checksum "Fixup"

Re: Trailering E46 M3, where to tie-down?

If there's no visible damage I wouldn't worry too much, but replacing with something like Mac's straps may not be bad (especially after 20 years).

I use the T-hooks as well, and I'm also happy...

Re: Radiator Hose Clamp Sizes

Do your new silicone hoses not come with worm gear clamps?

Personally, I use Breeze CT-9428 on the track car, but a generic worm gear should be fine on a daily.

Agreed!

I used to enjoy letting it rip on the highway, but now I just look forward to the next track event. Once you do a track event in your car, "pushing it" on the road just feels "meh".
