Nevermind....just realized the Peake tool called for chart 1b....not 16. Now it points to coil on cylinder 6 which I found had a loose connection. Problem Solved.

Pulled he codes with my Actron scanner. ($130, Autozone). It asks for make, model, year, and engine.

3 of them were cylinder misfires and I had the random multiple misfire code P0300 as well.

Generic obdII from autozone but I do have access to a peake tool. Oddly the autozone unit does state it is reading BMW specific codes when I run it.

Can you mic the rotor faces at their thinnest spot? Pictures just don't tell us what we need to know. New rotors are 30mm. I think discard is 28.4mm and it is stamped on the hat.

The 135i rotor is only 26mm thick with a 338mm diamter. The stock E46M3 rotor is 28mm thick with a 325mm diameter. Thus, these won't fit with ZCP rotors.

If these are similar to the 335i rotor...

From our Bias spreadsheet...using E46 front rotors and 335i front calipers with stock rear brake equipment would drop your bias ratio from a 68/32 (F/R) to a 62/38, which is the same as a stock 335i....

Am I correct in stating that the pic was of a 135 caliper? If so, I thought they were only big enough for the 26mm 135 rotors? The 335i rotors are 30mm thick. The E46 rotor is 28mm.....so I guess...

Not necessarily....if the area of the 4 pistons is greater than the area of the single ZCP caliper, then yes...brake force torque might be greater. The larger diameter of a ZCP rotor might trump...

We have experienced brake fade on OEM M3 blanks with track pads, SS lines, and new racing fluid. This idea with a larger rotor will hopefully eliminate that fade.
