Re: Getting Gas with the Engine Running

I agree that I don't think a few mins of warm up is going to do much, but a cold start up in 50 degree weather is different than a cold startup in 0 degrees, then letting it sit for 15-20 mins to get...

Re: Getting Gas with the Engine Running

It's not right because BMW says it's so, BMW (and many others) say it's so because it's right lol.

If BMW had warm up lights up to 2.5 or 3k people would freak out and complain about buying a car...

Would it be feasible and/or helpful to implement a separate circuit for the starter motor, so we can crank the engine for a few seconds with no fuel/spark in hopes of pre-oiling everything a little? ...

You think BMW actually cares about cats/emissions outside of their standardized testing/ratings? BMW isn't the only engineering/car company that recommends driving to warm up an engine.

I believe...

Personally, I would (and do) just make a habit of filling up when the tank gets to half empty or so. That way you don't have to worry about getting gas in the morning, nor will you have any issue...

Re: To Supercharge, or not to Supercharge?
