Re: Blackstone Analysis Copper @100

This was my thinking. My friend doesn't drive the car very much, so problems like this most likely are taking longer to surface. As I said, past maintenance history was uknown; he's the third or...

Re: Blackstone Analysis Copper @100

I appreciate all the feedback. Any more info is welcomed. In fact, I pulled my last Blackstone report at 64k, and they noted slightly elevate copper/lead. I'm now at 70k so time to test again.

Re: Blackstone Analysis Copper @100

H/G was supposedly already done by the shop, but was still losing coolant after that work. Apparently the oil was changed after H/G job, and this is the result.

So--pulling the motor is now on...

Blackstone Analysis Copper @100

A friend of mine with an S54 M roadster just had a Blackstone analysis on his oil with very bad results, as shown below. My first thought was rod bearings, but not sure what else could cause these...

Snap on Blue Point has (or at least had--b/c I bought one) a terminal removal tool that works great as well. No mods.

Last year I had the Turner limiter plates installed with the Meyle HD RTAB bushings. Noticed a big difference in turn in and handling.

I've got the factory 3er donut and jack that I strap in to the trunk tie downs. I think I bought the rim years ago from Tischer, and the tire from Tire Rack--had it locally mounted.

Re: Blackstone on a car only driven 3k a year...when?

My last oil change was 2 years and 6k miles ago. Probably time to do it. I'm a low mileage driver, but can't see doing it annually every 3,000. No way that oil is bad.

Re: Valve Cover Gasket

So you went OE on the main gasket, and left the VR spark plug gaskets and the rubber gaskets on the cover bolts? That would save alot of money.
