The ECU sits in a cubby in the engine bay in front of the glove box. The ECU cubby-hole is accessible from the firewall. You could check there. I heard once where water would drain in there.

GAAH leather is not my favorite. I don't care if they cost more. The problem is GAAH leather is too thick and cracks when it gets dry.
