Number 6 is always a pain to work on. But always ends up stretching your leg muscles really well. So win-win I guess.

Re: Help with Strange Electrical Issues - Tire/DSC/Engine Lights

TPS is a common failure so I'd start there. If the actuator is actually bad it's a bigger job and needs to be calibrated with a Scantool.

Re: Speed Academy "Supercar Killer" e46 M3 build

All good. Apologies for any confusion. I meant there is no bar going straight between the two shock towers like the Mason x brace.

Re: Negative Brake Pressure Reading from DSC?

For sure. I'm happy with the results I'm getting on the data aquisition side. I don't really need to know what the absolute pressures are. Just need to know the min and Max values to infer percentage...

Re: Negative Brake Pressure Reading from DSC?

Yeah it changes with pedal force. Just wondering if the negative pressure is an indicator of an issue. The sensors are likely the same ones from the factory.

They max out at about 60bar when...

Negative Brake Pressure Reading from DSC?

I tapped into brake pressure sensors to feed into my RaceCapture system. I am using Schwaben scantool to dial in the mapping between voltage and pressures.

One thing that struck me as odd was...

Re: Am I too fast for my radiator?

This.

Also don't be like be and only swap the radiator. Just buy a new AC condensor. It's $80 and likely all beat up from rocks and small animal hitting it at 100+ mph on track. I didn't now I...

Re: Am I too fast for my radiator?

Recently had same issue when running A/C by accident on track. Turned A/C off and it would still get to 3/4 mark. Granted ambient was 99F I still didn't like it.

Ended up replacing radiator with...

Re: PSA: check your front diff bolt

Yeah it's an expensive bolt but if you drove the car hard like me thinking it was just M clunk then changing it it was necessary. Just thankful that the threads weren't too far gone.

Re: At wits end bleeding coolant

Can also get an exhaust gas testing kit to see if there are exhaust gases coming from your coolant reservoir while the engine is running.

Thank you for the detailed response. Much appreciated.

For what it's worth this was the response from Chase bays when I asked about using ABS with their kit:

Is this statement accurate?

Reviving this old-ish thread.

I'd like to wire in the DSC brake pressure sensors into my RaceCapture Pro. As far as I understand it they are a simple voltage based sensor that should be easily be read by the RCP.

I have an...

Re: JRZ Install Help

There does not need to be preload on the spring. However you may get noise if you ever experience full droop on the street.

Re: To Tilton or not to Tilton that is the question

So far I'm at 10+ track days on the tilton triple disk. My heel toe sucks but the clutch don't care. Loving it on track. I wouldn't daily drive it but for a weekend track car definitely worth it.
