Make sure you have both crush washers on the banjo bolt that attaches the drain tube to the valve cover. If one fell out while you were reassembling everything that'll drip right on the headers....

I just had my bumper off, fixed a leaky washer pump, and did a cooling system overhaul this past spring. That definitely looks like the hose for the coolant overflow that should be just tucked along...

Maybe i missed this but canít you just run a sprung clutch disk? Wouldnít that get rid of some or all of the rattle? I thought the DM flywheel kind of acted like a sprung disk.

So when do you torque the hub bolts? I've seen videos and instruction where they put the splined shafts into the hubs and torque the hubs with the VANOS body off the car, then install the VANOS body....

Interestingly the youtube video of the S54 being assembled at the factory shows the VANOS unit with the splined gears attached being installed to the head. I wish that guy from the video was on this...

Agreed. The volume and opening size of that box is very limiting. A CSL box would make more power.

A torch is the best bet, mine came off ok but the ones at section 2-3 were rusty and rounded off so I ended up just snapping them with vise grips and a good twist, then replacing them with new ones....

I have the TMS pulleys and I had no issued installing them. Are you leaving the other bolts loose so you can move the pulley around a bit to get that last bolt to catch? That helps. Then snug them...

Have you removed your CDV? If not, I would remove that and bleed the line with fresh fluid. There shouldn't be that long of a delay when you press the clutch even with the CDV still in place.

The trumpets are too close together in the airbox to have a flange that large. I presume it will be trimmed down and the radius on the leading edge will provide adequate transitional flow.

Try contacting MaxPSI and getting their recommendation. With FI you don't want valve overlap but that can be tuned out with VANOS so as long as the cams don't prevent that overlap from being tuned...
